Stalking is a crime that has been with us for many years, however not until recent years has it gained so much notoriety. Stalking does not just impact the high profile celebrities, but everyday people as well.
A stalker could be someone you know or not know in some cases. Most have been involved or have dated the person they are stalking. 75% of stalking cases involve men stalking women, however men also stalk men, women do stalk women and women do stalk men at times. All cases need to be evaluated on their own merit.
Our experience has shown us that no two stalking situations are the same; what worked for one stalker incident does not guarantee it will work for another.
Some things that stalkers are known to do are:
• Follow you and show up where you are!
• Repetitively calling you, including hang ups!
• Send unsolicited gifts, letters, cards and or emails.
• Drive by your home; place of work or school.
• Threaten to hurt you, your family, friends or pets.
• Find out information about you from friends, family, colleagues,
investigators and or even going thru your trash.
